As well as great racing with some of Ireland’s future stars of the racing world there will be a donkey Derby, bouncing castles, face painting, pony rides, farmer’s market food stalls and live music by heart and soul in the marquee. So come along and enjoy a great day for all the family.

MONTHLY CAR BOOT SALE AND INDOOR MARKET: Our local community radio station WL102fm, by the terms of their licensing agreement, has to fundraise 25% of their running costs every year. One way they have raised funds over the past 10 years is by holding a monthly car boot sale in the grounds of the Community Centre in NCW and this has proved a very effective fundraiser. We are asking everyone who can and especially those who enjoy the range of local programming that WL102fm offers to come out once a month and support the stall holders who have supported us for the last ten years. The Car Boot Sale is held every four Sundays and the remaining ones for this year will take place on Sunday, June 12, Sunday, July 10, Sunday, August 7, Sunday, September 4 , Sunday, October 2 and 30, Sunday, November 27 and December 11. A stall at the Market costs either €7 or €10 and entry for buyers is €2 so, as you can see, the money is small and we are depending on volume of sellers and customers to raise a reasonable sum each month towards the costs involved in running the station. Holding a sale each month also helps the Community Centre who charge us for the use of the Hall and the yard so the entire community benefits by us remaining a viable fundraiser.
